About Anneka

I am a psychotherapist, mother, partner, friend, sister, daughter, and above all else, a person who is trying to figure out how to balance it all, just like everyone else. I know from personal experience how tough it can feel to just be human sometimes, let alone handle all the other responsibilities we take on at our work, in our families, in our relationships, and to ourselves.

I believe therapy works largely because it provides a space to slow down and be fully seen and supported in all our vulnerabilities and strengths. We live in a fast-paced world, and slowing down and looking inside takes time, strength, and commitment.

I am a NY State Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) with 13+ years of clinical experience working in the field of mental health. I  received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, M.A. with a specialization in trauma studies. My experience includes working in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings with people of all different ages, cultural backgrounds, and sexual and gender orientations.

I am passionate about working with people holistically and helping them find their own natural resilience through somatically and emotionally oriented therapeutic modalities.
